“Are you kidding me? You’re the smartest, funniest, toughest, buffest, talentedest, incrediblist girl in the world!” “You really feel that way about me?” “I’ve felt that way since the moment I saw you.”

^Oh, yes. This.
(I’m going to answer this in a normal post, because my response is going to be kinda picture-heavy. =P)
Bolin is the only person other than Korra whom Naga has shown any sort of attachment to in the show.
What makes this especially interesting is when you read Naga’s nick.com bio.
Korra is the only person ever to have tamed [a polar bear-dog].
Naga is very protective of Korra…
…and has learned how to use her strength to help Korra out of perilous situations.
I feel like it has to be significant that Naga treats Bolin like this. Korra told her to take care of Bolin for her, and Naga went above and beyond that. This isn’t just Naga following Korra’s commands. I truly believe that Naga cares about him.My headcanon about this is that during Korra and Bolin’s date, after seeing how happy they are together, Naga has been a Borra shipper. I mean, look at the expression on Naga’s face after the “You are one of a kind” line:To me, it’s kind of a “Yep, I approve” face. So, next season, I’d love to see Naga help push Borra along. Maybe something like the bottom half of this picture. Or maybe Korra will notice Naga’s preference for Bolin and take the hint. I don’t know. We’ll see.Aw man I’d actually really love this. This would make my shipper heart sing. Romance comes second to the friendship development, but damn this is now my headcanon since Bolin and Naga are obviously bros. I would still want them to show their bro-ness (totes a word) next season too. <33
Also felt the need to make these since there’s a Makorra Naga ‘Just As Planned’ out there that I see used and have used before…
And a Naga approves one for reasons.
They ship it. It’s very clear they ship their human companions together. *BORRA GLASSES ON FOREVER*

Reblog every time I see this on my dash <3
reblogging again because HOLY SHIT THE NOTES. THE NOTES.
REBLOGGING AGAIN BECAUSE OF REASONS.
“Now if you’re unsure of the steps, just follow my lead. Don’t worry I’ll take care of yoooou WOAH! -dipped- …OR you can take care of me. I am very okay with that.”
A redo of this crappy sketch I posted a while ago on a plane.
I never drew them dancing together before and I wanted to do it justice because it’s something that I really want to see in the show. Even before the show started when I didn’t ship these two together, I still wanted to see them swing dance as friends. And I know it’s probably not going to happen this late in the series. Definitely a lot of other serious business to focus on than parties.
I can still dream though, right? Also remind me to never try lineless art again. /dead
Sometimes I do this thing with my legs… And I don’t really understand how it’s comfortable, but it is.

LOOK GUYS.
HE’S OKAY.
PLEASE DON’T CRY ANYMORE.
…I actually drew these two pieces (with this being the other one) together a few days ago, but only just got around to finishing the second part now: though admittedly, I did that mostly for Pabu’s “WTF are you doing with me, woman?” expression. What’s she pretending to have him say? Yours to guess.
And I’m reminded again of why I never make backgrounds. Ever.

Oh. My poor heart can’t take all this beautiful art. ♥♥♥

“…You want to know something funny?” She doesn’t wait for his answer, which would explain that odd, quiet closeness in her voice. “I’ve never actually seen one of these before.”
Bolin is not looking at Korra when she says this. He has busied himself sorting through the councilman’s gift basket, sizing up each offering as he goes; there are long bolts of silk brocade, rosewood jewelry boxes, bags of candied fruit and ginger, and of course there are the flowers. Armfuls of them. He can identify the lotuses, at least, the chrysanthemums, and this one might be a fire orchid; it has petals that curl like tongues of flame and had probably cost more than every prize fight he has ever won put together.
But when he turns to see, Korra is spinning a rose between her fingers. His rose.
He blinks.
“Wow. Really?”
“Yeah.”
The language and simplicity of this fic is utterly gorgeous. Just, Korra’s gestures. Bolin’s dialogue. All flawless beyond compare. My heart breaks a little reading this, but in a good way.♥
Korra-Bolin Parallels: Set 17
They defeated their opponents in a tie-breaker match, element for element.

I JUST STARTED PLAYING THAT SONG ALSKDJFK I’M FREAKING OUT HERE.
This entire Tangled crossover would be so good too. I’m still not sure who would play certain characters, but I think Amon could play a really twisted version of Mother Gothel. Like, he would steal the Avatar when she was just a baby, using the spies he’d placed in the White Lotus guards.
He’d tell the world that he killed her, extinguishing all hope for the benders. Except he’d actually just hide her away, raising her until he could ceremonially execute her just when his victory was nearly complete.
Bolin would so be Flynn, obviously still an orphan, but he’s still have Mako. They wouldn’t be pro-benders anymore, because Amon has had much more influence in the world now, and he launched all out war against any spectacle of bending. Mako would still want to protect his brother and secure their futures, so he’d join the police force/white lotus and refuse to let Bolin do the same, too scared of what could happen to his brother.
Except Bolin wouldn’t want his brother to keep working in such a dangerous job (those police/white lotus guards have to deal with the brunt of the revolution), and he would want to help Mako get out of the job as soon as possible. So he’d start stealing things and selling them to make a profit, becoming well know a ferret-burglar of a sort. He wouldn’t tell this to Mako of course. He’d make up a story about getting a job building satomobiles, a story that is backed up by their family friend Asami Sato.
Things would go smoothly for a while, until Bolin is called in for a big job. Stealing the Avatar’s childhood toys, the artifacts from their previous reincarnation. They’ve been locked up tight, in the hope that one day the Avatar will finally be reincarnated (except that hope is at an all time low, after all, it’s been nearly fifteen years since she died and many believe that the cycle has just ended).
Bolin needs to work with the triad (that leader lightning guy with the mako-brows and the other shifty waterbender) for this one, it’s way too big for a one man job. Except they mess up and he messes up, and before he knows it the entire white lotus is on his tail, his brother included. Bolin can’t find it in himself to come out and tell Mako, too ashamed to reveal what he’s actually been doing.
So he runs, all the way to the end of the city, until he accidentally bends himself into Amon’s secret hiding place for the Avatar. She knocks him out and demands he take her to see the Arena, the one that lights up every month when the moon is high in the sky. Bolin accepts because he needs those toys, the payoff would be big enough for him and Mako to finally stop working, to go get a house of their own and start actually being happy.
The fact that’s probably the most powerful, amazing, beautiful girl he’s ever seen in his life helps too. She knocked him out with one punch. If that’s not true love, he doesn’t know what is! And so he sorta kinda forgets to say that he’s also on the run from the police/white lotus and his brother when he tells her that sure he’d do it.
Korra wouldn’t tell him that she can bend all four elements. In fact, she wouldn’t tell him anything. Amon raised her to think that anyone who found out she could bend at all about that would kill her on the spot, which is ironic because he plans to do the exact same thing in just a few days. She hides the toys away somewhere safe, but not before playing with them for a minute or two, finding that for some reason she really likes them. Bolin is none the wiser, as only the White Lotus know what the toys are really meant for.
She would steamroll over him, telling him that she is taking Naga along, even after he explains how hard it would be to be stealthy with that huge monster along. (he doesn’t really like Naga because she keeps picking him up and licking his precious little s-curl).
Korra would say how Naga’s all she has left to remember her parents, who were killed by some benders, and that she barely even remembers them. Bolin would obviously sympathize, babbling for a bit about Pabu and his own parents because he really wants her to stop being upset and sad looking as fast as possible, because seeing her like this makes his chest hurt for some reason.
And so they run away and laugh and dance and pull these hilarious pranks on the city, dodging both the Equalists and the white lotus guards, and he’ll show her that benders aren’t that bad and that she’s not a horrible person for being able to earthbend (she accidentally does it once in front of him, and makes sure never to reveal she can bend more), and she’ll teach him to be more confident and that his brother would understand if he told him what he’d been doing for him, that all Mako probably wants is for him to be happy.
And when they finally get to the Arena, Bolin would quietly explain that the lights on it only go on once a month on the full moon, to mourn the death of the last Avatar, who as a waterbender. He explains how Amon doesn’t like it, that he would always shut the building down immediately afterwords. The few benders left in the city, the ones who haven’t run away to the country for fear of being persecuted, make sure to fix it up the best they can in time for the next month.
Korra would finally realize that her entire life has been a lie. But just before she comes out and tells him why she’s so upset about finally seeing the Arena, Amon attacks them.
Amon knows that Korra escaped, and he knows exactly where she’d go (she’s not exactly very subtle about what she wants, you see). He finds the Avatar toys she hid in her room and pieces it all together. Through his spies, he finds out that Bolin is the infamous ferret-burglar and that he has a brother in the white lotus. Amon would hold Mako hostage and demand that Bolin make a choice.
And Bolin wouldn’t know how to decide between his own brother and the girl he kinda sorta really really likes. So Korra makes it for him.
The public execution would continue right on schedule, with Korra submitting to her own death, once and for all destroying the last hope the benders have. At least, that’s what would have happened if Bolin hadn’t stepped him.
Bolin finally realized that he had to make his own decisions in life, that he needed to step up and do what he needed to protect those he loves. After he tells Mako about what he’s been doing these past few months, Mako freaks out for a few minutes before hugging his brother and telling him that he should have told him before.
As determined as Mako was to make a good life for his brother, he would never want to worry his own brother. And when Bolin absentmindedly mentions that Korra really liked those little toys he stole, Mako realizes who she is. Because now he’s finally listening to Bolin.
And it’s all thanks to Korra, the Avatar who was to be killed in less than an hour. They gather all the benders and launch a full out strike on the Equalists, crippling them and uniting the city. Many of non-benders didn’t even like the way Amon was going about doing things, but were too scared to say so.
alskjdfasldkjfk Sorry, this got really long. Long AU situation outline short, lots of Borra happens and that song would play when Korra finally steps up and takes her place as the Avatar, with the bros by her side (Bolin a little closer of course).
….Now I kinda wanna actually write this.
Today I tried to draw again, but it’s not going well. But I want to contribute my love to the fandom so have a fast Borra sketch!
