This is probably painfully insignificant, but it’s been rolling around in my mind since I watched to Korra premiere and I need to know if anyone else noticed this.

In episode 2, while watching the pro-bending match, at some really intense moment (I can’t remember which, I think it was when Mako made his ovary-bursting comeback) the announcer starts yelling a string of cheesy expressions, including “HOLD THE PHONE”. So….does that mean they have phones in the avatar universe?

Because i’m fairly certain he did not mean “hold the phonograph”

If they do, that would be completely balls out. Can you imagine the pranks Korra could play on all her enemies, Lin included. I imagine this glorious sequence:

*Phone rings*
Lin: Hello
Korra *disguised voice*: ~deep breathing~
Lin: Wha- WHO IS THIS.
Korra:
Lin:
Korra: SADDAM HUSSEIN.
*HANGS UP*

I need phones to exist in LOK right. now.
